Cry-nion
- Method: Acrylic on canvas
For once, the onion gets to cry. Wrapped in its own papery layers, it sheds tears that are its alone, a reversal of roles. There’s something both touching and amusing about an onion finally getting its turn to feel, to grieve, to be vulnerable beneath all that protective armour.
A playful meditation on who does the crying, and why we protect ourselves in layers.
